Parent and Family Support

Family Support Drop In Clinic
Every Wednesday morning during the school term from 9.30am to 12.00pm.
A drop in space for parents/families to call in and receive support.
An interagency pilot project together with Boyle FRC, Foroige and Tusla

Childsplay is a parent/carer and baby/toddler group.
Parent/toddler groups can be a great way of meeting other people with children the same age as yours in your area. It is open to childminders, grandparents and other guardians.  Date: Tuesday & Thursday mornings. All welcome!
Time:10am-12.30pm Cost: €2 or donation.

Bazz Art for Toddlers as part of Childsplay
Dates: Tuesday mornings; September 13th, October 11th, November 8th and December 13th Time:10.30am to 11.30am sharp. All welcome.

Common Sense Parenting
3 courses each of a 6 week duration:
-Tuesday 13th September 9.30am-12pm (Elphin)
-Tuesday 8th November 10am-12.30pm (Boyle)
-Wednesday 9th November 7.30pm-9.30pm (Boyle)
The Common Sense Parenting Programme helps parents to learn skills to encourage their children’s positive behaviour, discourage negative behaviour, and teach their children alternatives to problem behaviour. 
Cost €20. Booking Essential

Creative Writing for Children (Aged 8 to 12 years)
An opportunity for children to explore and learn more about creative writing. Time: 3.30pm to 5.00pm
Date: Monday 5th September for 5 weeks. Cost €50

New Mums Group
A group for new mums and their babies to come together and meet for a cuppa & a chat. Date: Friday mornings Time: 10.30am—12.30pm

Paediatric First Aid Course with SAS
Date: Monday 10th October Cost: €40
Time: 9.15am -2.45pm. Booking Essential

  • CPR (Child & Infant) (Including AED)
  • Respiratory Emergencies.
  • Child / Infant Assessment.
  • Child / Infant Choking
  • Infantile Convulsions.
  • Wounds & Bleeding.
  • Burns, Scalds, Chemical Poisoning.

Qualification: On successful completion of the course (Written & Practical Assessment) each participant will receive a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
