Counselling and psychotherapy is for anybody.
Sometimes life can be difficult for us, it can be unmanageable and challenging.

Counselling can be a great support or resource at times of crisis or difficulty in our lives. It involves meeting with a trained professional therapist in a safe, confidential setting allowing you to talk about and explore life’s challenges in a non-judgemental space.

Counselling deals with more immediate or crisis issues e.g. relationship break-up, bereavement, stress or work issues. Psychotherapy looks at deeper more long-term issues that may have their roots in our past, (e.g. abuse issues, trauma in childhood) which are affecting our present life.

Frequently counselling and psychotherapy overlap and are used interchangeably. With the therapist you can explore and discover more resourceful ways of managing your life. The relationship is one of respect and non-judgement
between you and the therapist and meetings usually last fifty minutes to one hour. We incorporate different approaches , person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, family therapy and solution focussed etc.

Therapeutic Support for Families
We support families through a range of programmes and interventions
including Parenting Support, Rainbows, Childsplay and Family

Family Therapy
Family therapy works with families to generate the possibility of change. The family or members of a family may face challenges such as children's behaviour, adolescent difficulties, withdrawal, traumatic loss, separation, bullying at school or among peers, school refusing to allow children attend, coping with parental addiction etc.

The family therapist works with the family to find creative and healing ways to address and improve the families’ quality of life. It can include play, facilitated discussion allowing all members to hear each other and occasionally individual sessions.

Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals
This involves working with a professional therapist who offers you a confidential, impartial and safe place to explore whatever specific issues you present. We offer shorter issue focused counselling and long term

Couple Counselling

This service is for couples who present with difficulties and want to explore issues such as communication, dealing with differences, stress and sexual issues. The therapist holds the couple equally, listens to both parties and helps the couple to listen to each other with a hope to finding a resolution.

Group Work
We offer therapy groups and group work that incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and life skills.
